FEATURE GUIDE

Discover what's possible with Wonder.

Explore the world’s most comprehensive and interconnected learning environment for higher education—bringing course design, teaching, learning, assessment, communication, analytics, and institutional administration together in a single AI-native platform.

01

Course design & management

Build a clear learning journey and keep your courses ready for every semester.

Course builder & content library
Bring documents, presentations, videos, links, and assignments together in a sequence of learning modules. Introduce each topic, explain what students should focus on, and give the course a welcoming starting point. You can reorganize the journey as teaching progresses, while a searchable content library helps you find materials wherever they sit in the course.
Content access & scheduled release
Prepare your course privately, then open it when you are ready. Keep unfinished modules hidden, schedule materials to appear later, or share selected resources with particular students and groups. You can also decide whether files may be downloaded, giving you control over how content is made available throughout the semester.
Course rollover & LMS import
Carry a previous course into a new semester with its structure, materials, assignments, and settings already in place. Previous students' grades, submissions, and discussions stay behind, and copied content starts hidden for your review. You can also bring in courses exported from Moodle, Canvas, or Brightspace, and restore course materials accidentally removed along the way.
Skills-based course design
Make the course's purpose visible beyond its subject matter by choosing the skills it should help students develop. Connect materials and assignments to the institution's shared skills framework, so individual activities contribute to a coherent learning goal. Wonder follows students' development through their participation and achievements, helping you see growth alongside conventional grades.

02

Learning & AI support

Give students more ways to understand, explore, and revisit what you teach.

Course AI tutor
Give students an AI tutor that answers using the course's own materials and links its responses to the relevant sources. Students can ask questions, work through difficult ideas, and receive guidance shaped by their progress and difficulties. Your continued guidance helps refine the tutor across course offerings, and you decide whether it is available in each course.
SmartWatch: interactive documents & videos
Turn reading and watching into a conversation with the material. Students can ask about a particular passage or moment, request an explanation, or work through the content step by step with AI support. For recordings, synchronized transcripts let them jump from a sentence to the matching moment in the video, keeping questions connected to what they are studying.
AI summaries & learning podcasts
Give students another way into the same course material. AI-generated summaries help them revisit central ideas, while learning podcasts turn the content into conversations they can listen to wherever they learn best. Summaries support the institution's selected languages, and podcasts can be created in up to 140 languages, supporting different language needs and study preferences.
Assignment AI tutor
Give students guidance while they work, with an AI tutor that understands the assignment and the course resources you have selected for it. The tutor is designed to offer hints, ask useful questions, and point students toward relevant material rather than provide direct answers. Students receive support in the context of the task they are trying to solve.

03

Assignments & assessment

Create meaningful work, give thoughtful feedback, and assess students on your terms.

AI assignment generation
Use AI to help turn course material into work students can engage with. Generate quizzes from a document or class recording, create mathematical or code-based questions, or build a programming activity with starter code and tests. Review and edit the generated content before publishing, so the final assignment reflects what you want students to learn.
Assignment formats & question bank
Create quizzes, structured question sets, open-response tasks, or assignments submitted as files. Questions can include mathematical notation and formatted code, and useful questions can be saved in a bank for future courses. Quizzes are graded automatically, with answer-specific feedback and flexible attempts, while students can submit scanned or photographed handwritten work for instructor review and optional AI assessment.
AI grading, feedback & calibration
Receive suggested grades and feedback based on your solutions, assessment criteria, and academic expectations. You can calibrate grading for individual questions by reviewing sample responses and adjusting how Wonder evaluates them. The AI uses that guidance when assessing student work, while you can accept, edit, or disregard every suggestion before returning feedback to students.
Submission review & annotation
Move through student submissions, read answers, and review uploaded files directly inside Wonder. Add comments, highlights, and handwritten marks to documents, or use a rubric to assess work against clear criteria. You can hide student identities during grading and return annotated work with feedback, keeping the review process together without downloading and uploading files between tools.
Coding assignments
Let students write, run, and test code directly inside their assignment, with a development workspace and console supporting popular programming languages. Create the task yourself or generate it with AI, including starter code, a solution, and automated tests. Define a grading rubric or use AI-assisted review to assess the work alongside its execution results.
Assignment scheduling & accommodations
Set when assignments become visible, when students can begin, and when submissions close. Give selected students or groups additional time without moving the deadline for the whole class, and decide whether late work is accepted. You can also direct an assignment to a particular audience, supporting different tasks and arrangements within the same course.
Timed assessments & secure exams
Set a time limit for an assessment and use Safe Exam Browser to control permitted access and interactions during the exam. Configure entry requirements, file access, and early exit according to your examination rules. Course exam mode can also hide ordinary learning materials and restrict the AI assistant, leaving only the resources you have approved available.
Gradebook & grading policies
Build the course grade from weighted components, drawing on assignments, participation, skills development, or manually entered results. Apply your course's rules for bonuses, penalties, and other grading conditions, and decide when students can see the structure and policy. A unified gradebook lets you review and edit results across the class and export them when needed.

04

Classes & collaboration

Keep teaching, conversations, and group work connected to the course.

Class scheduling, Zoom & attendance
Schedule in-person, online, or hybrid classes for the whole course or a selected group, including recurring sessions. Meetings appear in students' calendars, and online sessions are created in Zoom with direct access from Wonder. Each course also has a permanent virtual room, while QR check-in or manual marking keeps an attendance history across class sessions.
Messaging & forums
Message a student, a group, or the whole course, and create discussion spaces where questions and ideas can develop over time. Instructors can highlight correct answers and pin important threads, while participants can invite the course AI tutor into a discussion. Notifications keep people informed, and AI-supported participation assessment can make academic contributions part of the course grade.
Student groups & targeted activities
Organize students into groups manually or generate groups using your chosen criteria. Keep different group arrangements for different purposes, then use them across the course to share materials, assign work, send messages, or schedule sessions. Group membership becomes part of the teaching workflow, so you can work with selected audiences without creating separate courses.

05

Progress & insights

Understand how learning is progressing and where your attention can make a difference.

Course analytics & insights
Follow attendance, involvement, submissions, grades, and platform use through continuously updated course charts. See how the class is engaging with teaching as the semester unfolds, rather than waiting for a final report. Wonder also highlights meaningful patterns in course activity, helping you identify areas that deserve a closer look and students who may need attention.
Assignment analytics & AI recommendations
Look beyond the average grade to understand what students learned and where they struggled. Assignment charts show the distribution of results and submission patterns, while AI-generated insights explain difficulties and suggest follow-up work. Select recommendations to carry them into the assignment creation process, connecting what you discover in student work to what you teach next.
Student skills tracking
Follow how students develop the skills your course is intended to build, using their participation and achievements across learning activities. Because those activities connect to the institution's shared skills framework, progress can be understood in terms of educational goals as well as marks. Skills development can also contribute to the course grade when you choose to recognize it formally.

06

Student experience

Make everyday learning easier to navigate, access, and fit into students' lives.

Calendar, tasks & notifications
Give students one place to see their upcoming work and scheduled activities. A shared academic calendar brings classes, meetings, and deadlines together, while the dashboard's task list shows what needs attention across current courses. Notifications surface new materials, messages, assignments, and grades, helping students stay informed without checking every part of every course separately.
Mobile learning & previous-course access
Open course documents and presentations, stream recordings, complete assignments, and join conversations within Wonder. The mobile experience is designed for smaller screens, so students can move between learning activities naturally while away from their desks. Courses from previous semesters remain available in read-only form, giving students a way to revisit earlier materials and their academic history.
Languages & accessibility
Switch the interface language without losing your place, with layouts that adapt to both right-to-left and left-to-right reading. Built-in accessibility tools let users choose a dyslexia-friendly reading mode, enlarged cursor, reading guide, or a focused display with fewer distractions. These options are available throughout Wonder, so people can adjust the environment to their own needs.
Guided tours & issue reporting
Learn unfamiliar parts of Wonder through short video tours showing real interactions with clear, step-by-step narration. When something needs attention, report an issue or suggestion directly from the platform and indicate its severity. Wonder routes the report to the institution or its own team as appropriate, creating a ticket that can be followed through to resolution.

07

Institutional administration

Manage Wonder around your institution's structure, calendar, and responsibilities.

Organizational structure, roles & permissions
Represent your faculties, schools, departments, and programs as they are actually organized, and define roles with permissions appropriate to each responsibility. Grant authority across the institution, within a particular unit, or inside a course. This lets you delegate administration along your organizational structure, with each person able to see and manage the areas entrusted to them.
Central user & course administration
Find users and courses from a central administrative view, with filters for organizational units and academic periods. Review people's affiliations and responsibilities, inspect course participation, and assign students, instructors, or other course roles where authorized. Administrators can manage these relationships across the institution without opening each course individually or relying on its instructor to make every change.
Institutional branding & academic calendar
Set up Wonder with your institution's name, logo, and academic calendar. Define semesters, terms, or other teaching periods using the names and dates your institution works with, rather than adapting to a fixed calendar model. Your institutional identity appears across the administrative and learning environment, giving people a consistent setting for their day-to-day academic work.
Institutional ticket management
Bring the issues and requests reported through Wonder into a central institutional queue. Review their severity, set priorities, and track each ticket as it moves from open to in progress and closed. Reports are routed to the institution or the Wonder team as appropriate, with email notifications to the relevant party, so requests have a clear place to be handled.
